Raceway: pure performance, from motorsport to the road
After the A123 for Antera, GMP raises the bar with Raceway – a model that perfectly blends design and performance. As highlighted by Marco Finazzi during the trade fair interview, Raceway was born from a clear idea: to bring to market a high-performance alloy wheel capable of entering a competitive segment in which GMP had not yet played.
“The name itself – Raceway – speaks to the intended use of the product,” Finazzi explains. “It’s designed for those who want a beautiful wheel, yes, but above all one that’s lightweight, responsive, and technically superior.”
Inspired by motorsport, developed for excellence
Raceway's DNA is rooted in the world of high-level motorsports: Formula 1, GT, rally racing. These disciplines were thoroughly studied to extract winning engineering principles and translate them into a street-legal product. Every design detail – especially the shape and cross-section of the spokes – was engineered for maximum lightness and strength, with almost obsessive attention to the balance between weight and performance.
“Every gram makes a difference,” says Finazzi – and in Raceway, every gram has been optimized to deliver maximum performance.
Track-grade technology and visual identity
Raceway is not only highly engineered – it’s also a wheel with a strong visual identity, expressed through surface finishes and colors directly inspired by racing: Racing White, Racing Gold, Racing Black. These chromatic details speak a language instantly recognizable to enthusiasts.
On the technical side, Raceway is produced using low-pressure casting and heat treatment, processes that ensure a compact, reliable structure superior to standard die-casting. The result? A lightweight, durable product ready to handle extreme driving conditions.
The performance customer never settles
Raceway is designed for demanding, passionate, and knowledgeable customers. It’s not a product for those who simply want to change their car’s look – it’s for those seeking a technical component worthy of their vision of excellence.
“Those who buy high-end cars want to dress their passion,” says Finazzi. “And we want to offer the right shoe for every car. In this case, the right shoe is called Raceway.”
