“Safety is a non-negotiable condition,” states Marco Finazzi. And that holds true from the very beginning of the project. Every technical and engineering decision during A123’s development was guided by the pursuit of the highest standards of reliability and protection. At Antera, safety is not something to be checked at the end – it is the compass that guides the entire production process.

A certified, rigorous, and transparent path

The type approval and certification process begins even before the first prototypes are produced. After technical development, initial samples are made and submitted to extremely demanding tests by accredited bodies like TÜV. These include impact tests, stress tests, and rolling resistance tests – all essential to obtain strength certification and officially authorize installation on approved vehicles.

The process involves the technical departments, internal quality control, and external certifying bodies, in a team effort that spans about two to three months. It’s a significant commitment that ensures end customers receive a verified, safe product ready to face any usage conditions.

Full certification, even where it’s not mandatory

Further highlighting Antera’s dedication to safety, the company has chosen to certify all its products – even in markets where it's not required. A strategic choice that represents a concrete investment and a distinguishing value compared to some competitors, especially those outside Europe who often overlook these crucial aspects.
